Ellen Ripley is one of the many characters encountered in Kingdom Hearts II ½.

Story

The Nostromo

Meeting Ripley for the first time, Sora, Donald and Goofy team up with her after an Alien and a band of Heartless eliminate her fellow crew members. Pete shows up to help Ash exploit the Alien and the Heartless for the Weapons Division of Weyland-Yutani, the company they are working for. Both Ash and the Alien are defeated by Sora and Ripley.

Hadley's Hope

Rejoining Ripley in an abandoned colony with a group of elite soldiers, Sora, Donald and Goofy fight through hordes of Heartless. Nilmax and Xerruy show up in an attempt to turn the Alien Queen into a Heartless. Sora and Ripley battle it in the marines' vessel, the Sulaco, finally defeating it.

Fiorina 161

Sora, Donald and Goofy meet Ripley again in a bleak prison facility terrorized by Heartless and a lone Alien valled Runner. Hades shows up in an attempt to turn it into a Heartless, but Sora and Ripley defeat it before his plans succeed. Ripley discovers she has an Alien Queen growing inside her and sacrifices herself to prevent Weyland-Yutani from acquiring it.

The Auriga

A cloned Ripley rejoins Sora, Donald and Goofy aboard this huge vessel of the United Systems Military. Dr. Wren, with the help of the Heartless and Maleficent, is attempting to control the Aliens. Later, Sora, Donald, Goofy and Ripley defeat Wren and a monstrous Alien/human hybrid called the Newborn.

In Battle

Ripley's fighting style varies in each encounter. On the Nostromo she fights with basic melee combos and a flamethrower, on Hadley's Hope the flamethrower is replaced by a pulse rifle (which also fires grenades). On Fiorina 161 she has no weapon, throwing knives as a ranged attack. On the Auriga she again lacks a ranged weapon, but has a much higher melee attack power. Her limit, Angel Dance, has her and Sora wrapped in an Aero-like spinning force field which damages nearby enemies. The attack Energy Blast will send portions of this field at enemies as a blast of raw energy. The finish, End Blast, has the force field explode with massive splash damage. Overall, this limit is somewhat similar to that of Alexa Woods.

Trivia

  • When the storyline of a new world based on the Alien series is started, Ripley will no longer be available as a party member in the preceding world (e.g. the Nostromo » Hadley's Hope). Thus, the only world where she remains available is the Auriga.
